Bug in Restore Environment: Can't browse network shares
Hi,
I'm using VeeamAgentWindows_2.0.0.700 backing up Win10 to my QNAP NAS.
This works.
I have created a restore USB stick.
When I try to restore my backup, there is a menu entry that allows to browse for Network Shares.
However, I can't expand the directory tree.
Please note that I have already clicked on the QNAP212p-entry in the screenshot shown above.
Before clicking, QNAP also had a ">" symbol next to it.
Please also not that I have entered credentials in the field provided, but still can't browse the network shares on QNAP21P
So I have to "know" the path to the veeam backups, which is
\\qnap212p\veeambackup\
Then I can select a restore point, but I have to "know" the exact path...
Anyone else noticed this "bug"?
Bye,
Heiko

Hi Heiko,
Before browsing try check the box ‘this share requires credentials’ and enter the account which has access to the said share. Do you have any firewall between this computer and your NAS device?Anyone else noticed this "bug"?

Credentials have been entered - checkbox is ticked as you can see in screenshot above.
No firewall.
Within Win10, I can browse network shares, so I think it has to be a problem with recovery environment.

Re: Bug in Restore Environment: Can't browse network shares
I got the same issue with restoring from the NAS location. The errors go away if you enter the full path down to the location of the .vbk file. For example \\192.168.1.10\ would not work but \\192.168.1.10\backup\Job would. I am using Veeam Agent 3.0.1 and restoring VMware VM with windows 10 from the recovery ISO that I created. Works very well - thanks!
