Can you get the Backup Report Email as a File?

Post by Gideon-IT »

I was hoping to include Veeam as an option for backing up my PCs but have a custom script (a complex mix of Windows batch files and Powershell) that controls the backups and emails a report. Is there any way to save the email, that the Veeam Agent can be configured to send, as a file instead? My script already sends a backup email so I don't really want two going, or to have to configure two SMTP connections. I'd like to just attach the Veeam backup log to my existing email.

Hi Phil.

You can disable Veeam Agent notifications completely and have PowerShell parse your PC's C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Endpoint\[JobName]\Job.Job_Name.Backup.log for details that we send over email. All information is there: job name, job status, new restore point size etc.

/Cheers!
