Changing the "Keep Backups for the past x days"

Post by upapi »

Hi there,

I have Upgraded VEB 1.5 to VEB 2.0 9 days ago. In VEB 1.5 the keeping of Backups was set to 14 days. During the Installation of VEB 2 I changed this value to 7. So I expected VEB would rearrange the backup chain after 7 days Computer is running. But nothing happens until now. VEB 2 still keeps all restore Points. Do I have to delete the whole backup chain in order to Keep only the "7-days" restore Points?

Thank you in advance
Uli

Uli,

I would think that the next time a backup is run, the merges would happen automatically and the chain is brought back to 7 days worth of restore points (which could be more than 7 though). If this is not the case, please create a support call (But a backup first needs to run to make those merges happen though)

Thanks
Mike

Hi Uli,

Any chance you've enabled periodic active full backup option?

Hi all,
thanks for the hints. I've disabled periodic active full backup and now everything works as expected. :-)

Thank you very much
