I'm looking to connect to a local folder via a network share on the same PC. The folder is shared with NTFS permissions that allow a different, unused account write permissions but my account read permissions. The reason behind this is if I get hit by ransomware it won't be able to attack my Veeam backup.
The problem I'm having is that Veeam doesn't like that I'm trying to connect to a network share on the same computer. Is there a way around this?

Re: Connecting to a network share on a local drive
Veeam Agent works fine with network shares no matter of location, even if it is on a local machine. I guess you have permissions \ firewall issue, but it is hard to say without inspecting the logs. Please open support ticket and find a root cause of your problem guided by our Support Engineer.
