Converting to VM with Endpoint
Lazy admin here , but has anyone documented a process or written a blog article about using Endpoint to convert a physical server/desktop/laptop into a VM running on Workstation or the like ?

Re: Converting to VM with Endpoint
Thanks Alexey ...but this requires the Endpoint backup files to reside on a VBR repository 1st. Any way to do it directly from Endpoint ?

Re: Converting to VM with Endpoint
Craig,
You can install VBR free on the same machine (yes, supported...) and use that to do the conversion to a VMDK / VHD(X). Double click on the VBK or VIB file that you want to convert and the machine will ask you whether you want to "open" it with VEB or VBR Free.
Cheers
Mike

Re: Converting to VM with Endpoint
thanks Mike , will have a look into that . Still would be nice to have this option within Endpoint without having to install an additional package
