So lets say I have VAW backing up to a VBR repository.
Now lets say I need to do a bare metal restore to an endpoint computer.
However, due to the size, I don't want to do it over the network.
I would like to copy the backup set to an external drive on the VBR and then take that external drive and connect it to the endpoint being restored so I can choose 'local' for the backup set location.
How would I go about finding the correct backup set on the VBR repository to copy to the external drive?
Before I was using VBR, it was easy, each endpoint created their backup set in a share on the backup server. I just went to the correct share and copied the backup set to the external drive.
Thanks,
Carlton

Re: Copy backup set from VBR to a local disk for bare metal
Hi Carlton,
It should be possible to right click a backup file under the Home > Disk node and see the backup file location (path should be displayed too).

So if I understand you correctly, I should be able to copy those files to the external drive.
If that is the case, then that means that VBR and VAW are using the same file formats for backups, correct?
