Deleted vbm file

Post by mfo »

I somehow lost my vbm file from my backup folder. Now, when I want to restore some files by opening the vbk file, I just get the message: "Veeam Backup is unable to open backup files created by Veaam Backup and Replication".

Any way to recreate the vbm file?
I do have a second backup folder from this maschine with a working vbm file, if this is of any use.

Thanks,
Christoph

Hello Cristoph,
try this powershell script to re-create the vbm file.
Thanks!

Christoph,

To clarify, which product produced said backup file - Veeam Agent for Windows (Veeam Endpoint Backup) or Veeam Backup and Replication backup files. Thanks in advance.

i have mothly the same problem,

i have unfortunatly deleted my vbm files and try to find a solution for recreate them.
i use the veeam windows free solution and i don't have the backup and replication server.

if i install the backup and replication console only for use the powershel script into the Veeam PowerShell cli of the consol, did it work?

sorry for my bad english and thanks in advance.
