Endpoint service causing high cpu

Post by lahontan »

I've got 3 terminal servers built on Server 2012 R2. We've got the Veeam Endpoint service installed and running.
During the day (not during nightly backups), on one of the servers, the endpoint service causes hangs (?) and causes it, as well as the endpoint tray to make the cpu utilization stay between 94% to 100%. The only option is to use the task manager and kill the endpoint service and all endpoint trays. After doing that, the cpu is down near 15%, like it should be. Check it 15 minutes later and the endpoint service has restarted, along with a few endpoint trays (users logging in) and the cpu is fine.

How can I fix that?
Wished I was fly fishing.

Hello and welcome to the community Scott,

Please try to install the latest version of Veeam Endpoint Backup – Veeam Agent for Windows v2 and check if the issue still persists. Latest version has lots of fixes included, so it worth checking.
