I just need to backup an exchange database using software that will truncate the transaction logs after the backup is successful.
Is it best to do this using Veeam Agent for Windows or shall I use Veeam Backup & Replication Community Edition?
The Exchange server is running on a Hyper-V. I assume I would install the backup software on the virtual server where Exchange is and not on the host?
Thank you.

Re: Exchange backup
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
As you only want to backup one file, the agent is the way to go. I'm quite sure that also the free edition always truncates Exchange longs (it does it for SQL for sure)
Yes, you install it inside the VM and just select the edb files to back up.
Best regards,
Hannes
