Exclude device from entire computer backup

Post by mrfg »

Hello Everyone,

Could anyone suggest a solution to the following scenario, please?

I have a 30TB+ server backed up with Windows Agent in backup mode "Entire computer" and managed by B&R v12.

I need to temporarly attach to that server another large (20TB+) iSCSI volume. I do not want Veeam to backup that iSCSI device/volume.

I can not change backup mode from "Entire computer" to "Volume level" because I need consistency of my existing backup chain, the server is too big to perform full backup at this point and the volume will be attached only temporarly so I don't want to change entire config just for that.

How can I exclude iSCSI volume from backup job?

Btw. when I try to export XML config I get:
PS C:\Program Files\Veeam\Endpoint Backup> .\Veeam.Agent.Configurator.exe -export
ExitCode: 1

Errors:
Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
Specified method is not supported.

Usage: -export [/f:]

Options:
/f:path to file Path to the exported configuration. If not specified,
the default path is used.

Default path for configuration file is C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Endpoint\!Configuration\Config.xml

ExitCode: 1
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Cheers

Hello Marek,

How the iSCSI volume is mounted to the machine? Is that mapped as disk or as folder on the file system? Thank you!
