Failed to create recovery media
Hello,
Can I use a Recovery Media created with a different server ? The reason I am asking is that I am getting with the new version the following error and I am lazy to open a new case :
2/19/2020 5:21:41 AM Warning Failed to delete recovery media’s temporary files from C:\Users\micio\AppData\Local\Temp\nhqsh3rn.r0a. Unmount the image, and try deleting files manually
2/19/2020 5:21:41 AM Error Failed to create recovery media: Access to the path 'C:\Users\micio\AppData\Local\Temp\nhqsh3rn.r0a\efi\boot' is denied.
I do not have any idea how to set permission there. I tried to disable Win 10 AV without luck.

Re: Failed to create recovery media
Somehow I addressed the issue adding the permission to Everyone in the temp folder. Still interested in the first question though.

Re: Failed to create recovery media
Recovery media has default driver set(unless you added machine-specific drivers too, during RM creation), and can be used on other machines. If you are working with machines of similar hardware \ identical vendor you are most likely to see no problems using single RM created on one of those. However, if you will use that RM on a totally different machine, it might ask you to add drivers for new unidentified hardware during RM Restore process. For example, it will boot RM, it will start restore process, but will not see your specific RAID controller, or a NIC of different vendor. You can add drivers "on the fly" during restore, or add them to RM in advance.

Re: Failed to create recovery media
Egor,
I have one more question: Can I use Onedrive (personal edition - not business) to store backups of two different servers? I noticed that there is not the setting to create a specific folder to keep somehow separated the backups between the two different servers.
Again Thank You very much for your patience.

Re: Failed to create recovery media
Each computer protected with Veeam agent will use a unique ID subfolder under 1drv:\VeeamBackup, so there will be no conflicts.
