How does VEB determine what has changed since the last backup? Does it use the Archive bit on the files?
The reason I am asking is because I am using VEB as my primary backup, however, occasionally I use Windows Image Backup to backup to a removable drive. My concern is that by using Windows Image Backup, am I 'resetting' the archive bit so that the next time VEB runs, it will not see any file changes if something was changed after the last time VEB was run but before the WIndows Image was run?
So, given this scenario, would the file TestFile be backed up by the last step?
1. VEB is run
2. File TestFile is updated
3. Windows Image backup is run
4. VEB is run
So would the backup in step 4 see that TestFile had been changed and back it up?

Re: How does VEB determine what has changed
Yes, it will see that TestFile had been changed and back it up because we use proprietary change tracking technology which does not rely on the archive bit.
