Hello,
i'm new to veeams backup solutions, and have two questions:
I have a lokal machine with Windows 10 pro installed. The Hyper-V role is enabled and one Hyper-V Machine always active. This machine is also active when the backup task is running. Does the Endpoint Backup also backup this (running) Hyper-V Machine?
Second question:
Is it possible to savely backup a opened PST File with Endpoint Backup?
Regards,
Bettina

Re: Hyper-V and open PST's with Endpoint Backup
Hello Bettina,
Since VEB relies on VSS (volume shadow copy service) while performing a backup it’s safe to perform any daily duties while backup is running in the background. If Entire PC or volume level backup is used all data that resides this machine (or its volumes) is going to be backed up.

Re: Hyper-V and open PST's with Endpoint Backup
Just to further elaborate on this - when VSS call is triggered, all file system transactions try to complete all running queries and after that backup is done, so all running VMs/app data will be backed up as well.
