Moving an Endpoint backup to a B&R repository

Post by jgreenberg »

Hi,

I have two servers which have been backing up using Endpoint to a simple file share on a NAS. We have since configured a full Veeam B&R server and I would like to convert the share to a B&R Repository for better management. I have added the NAS as a repository and it imported the existing backups, but when I re-point the jobs on Endpoint it keeps creating a new subfolder and starts a full backup. Is there a way to force it to see/use the existing?

Thanks,

Hi jgreenberg,

This is a known limitation of existing VEB version – you can’t map the backups created on internal storage or shared folder location to VBR repository, so you have to start a new backup chain.
