Documentation for Veeam B&R and Veeam Agent for Windows both specify that Pre-Freeze and Post-Thaw Scripts support: EXE, BAT, and CMD. I even found KB2183, which offers a work-around for executing a PowerShell script. However, I would really appreciate native support for executing PowerShell scripts.
Is this on the roadmap?
Are there alternate workarounds to the one offered in KB2183?
Is there a compelling reason to not support PowerShell?

Re: PowerShell support for Pre-Freeze/Post-Thaw Scripts
Hello Mark.
Sorry to keep you waiting. You are correct, PS scripts are supported only via workaround described in KB article. I've added you vote to this feature request. Thanks a lot!
