Hello Guys,
I am not sure if anyone has tried this or come across it at all but, restoring a Windows Agent backup "Free Version" with just the VBK back to bare metal? The reason why I am asking this question is recently our vbm was corrupted and all that I have left is a VBK file which I am trying to find a way to restore it back to a physical machine.

Re: Restoring Bare Metal without VBM
Hi Vinh,
Unfortunately, you must have .vbm for the restore.
However, there is an unsupported workaround that might help you:
You can try to Import .VBK into Veeam B&R, that should create metadata in the database, thus the Agent can perform restore using this meta. Thanks!
