Hello
I have a client which has a Windows Server with Windows 2012R2 operating system
Its an accountants office and the server has already an SQL 2012 Standard instances on it
I want to install the Veam Agent for windows on this server and setup a network backup but im afraid that since veam also installing SQL server instance it might mess up the client's Server's sql instances
Anyone that can guarantee that the veam will not mess up my clients already installed SQL Databases and instances ?
Thank you in advance

Re: SQL Server on Windows 2012R2 related question
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
And yes, you can install the agent on a SQL server / SQL cluster. LocalDB and the "real" SQL server do not interfere with each other. And of cause it's supported
Best regards,
Hannes

well, that's not really a SQL server instance we install. It's SQL Express LocalDB (many people mix that)since veam also installing SQL server instance
