Hi all,
I need to upgrade Veeam Endpoint to Veeam agent for windows on a critical server, is a restart required for this process? Is there any way to avoid a restart when installing Veeam agent?
What is the preferred way of installing the agent these days, push out from B&R or install manually?
Thanks!

Re: Upgrade Veeam endpoint to veeam agent
Hello,
if you install the CBT driver, then you definitely need a reboot.
Without CBT driver, it can work without reboot. But I would plan a reboot for safety reasons.
I prefer central agent management with VBR... but if you have only a hand full of servers, then the VBR overhead probably does not pay off.
Best regards,
Hannes
