VAW choose network interface

Post by jochot »

Hey,

So I have a Server which is used as a Network share.
It has ~ 85TB of disk space which I am backing up with the Veeam Agent for Windows (Server version).
The full backup of this machine takes ages and affects our users which are trying to work with the data on this machine.

Is there a possibility to use a dedicated Network Interface to separate the backup data from the usual network traffic on this PC?
I didn't find any option in the settings of the job and I cannot use a different Interface via IP because it is a Hardware machine. (in VBR I could use a different IP to communicate with it).

Is there anyone who has an Idea how to do this?

This is kind of a feature request :)

Hello jochot,

Generally, VAW works with the fist adapter which has a connection with the set repository. If the fist network does not have a connection with shared folder/ repo VAW will try to use the next available network.
