VAW Feature Missing?

Post by Murigar »

I may be missing something here, please let me know if i am.

I recently upgraded to Update 3, which gave great options to manage agents.
One of the issues I have is it is very difficult to manage if backups are completing successfully or not.

On traditional VBR jobs, the "Report" will show a long chain job status.
On VAW jobs, the "Report" only shows the most recent status.

With no single pane status page, how do you guys monitor the success / failure of individual VAW systems?
The Veeam One "Data Protection View" would provide this correct? But requires Veeam Availability Suite, Not VBR?

You might get this once you move your agents to VAW 2.1. However be careful, because in order to get all the features of the upgrade you have to completely start over with new B&R managed backups. One of the main actions you have to watch out for is when you add the agents to a protected group. This will clear the configs on the Agents locally and you won’t be able to manage them locally anymore unless you go through a lot of hoops. So don’t add a server to a protected group unless you are ready to start over.
