VEB, Backup&Replication and Windows 10

Hi at all!
I have installed VEB many months ago on many PCs.
Now i have activated a Backup&Replication repository and every evening the backup start on all PCs with automatic shutdown when backup finished.
The problem is that when the PCs are booted up in the morning, the backup automatic start even if they are scheduled at the evening, this problem only on Windows 10 PCs.
What can i do for resolve it?

Can you please show a screenshot of your backup job configuration? Also, can you please double-check job settings for Windows 10 and other computers?

A few questions:

1. What are the exact settings for your schedule? (Maybe even take a screenshot??).
2. Are the backups actually taken in the evening? Or is there the case of a "missed" backup
3. What version are you running?

I make a backup every evening at 20.00.
The versione is 1.5.0.306
Two PCs are Windows 7 installed and they don't have the problem.

What happens is the following: You backup at 20.00 (and I assume it shuts down then...)
When you boot up in the morning, it reconnects to the target and does a new backup. The reason why is since you are using a combined schedule...

Not only at 20.00 PM, but also when the computer connects to the backup target (which happens because you start again). Since the last backup is older than 4 hours, it will start again.

Our scheduler is OR so that is the reason why you have this.

I am not sure though why it is only happening on windows 10 machines

This is expected behavior, not related to the OS type. All you need to do is set the ‘backup no more often that’ to a larger value (if you still want the backup to be performed after you boot the machine). If backup at the end of the work day (at 20.00) is the only one you need, just disable the ‘When backup storage is connected’ backup even.
