Thanks for the case number. The case was closed because it was openend for Veeam Agent for windows Free edition.
Our free and community users only get support on best effort. Meaning, if our support team has free resources, they will take the free cases. If not, they can be closed without a solution.
To reset your agent configuration, you can try this KB article. This will allow you to create a new job: https://www.veeam.com/kb2335
Everything you suggested worked (I was allowed to create the job almost). When I click "Apply" (after I have all my backup settings the way I want them) I get this error...
Unable to create backup job.
WMI method call failed.

Seems like WMI maybe has some issues on your computer, but our support would be required to confirm that. You can check your WMI components and try to repair it on your own risk. If resetting the database and repairing WMI doesn't help, try it with a new case with our support team.
Rebooted
Researched WMI and found...
---The ultimate way to check is to run this command in an elevated Command Prompt.
---winmgmt /verifyrepository
Results are...
C:\WINDOWS\system32>winmgmt /verifyrepository
WMI repository is consistent
I then tried again...
---Key Location: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Endpoint Backup
---Value Name: RecreateDatabase
---Value Type: DWORD (32-bit) Value
---Value Data: 1
Tried creating the Veeam job again and I made it all the way to the end again and I still get this error...
"Unable to create backup job.
WMI method call failed.
