Hi Guys,
If a customer has a setup of Veeam Agent for Windows (Workstation) managed by Workstation enabled for several VMs and several protection groups.
Are there any monitoring options to see the results of job sessions in a single pane of glass?
To my knowledge, this wouldn't be possible and is only possible for Server Edition and the option to manage the job through a Veeam B&R server. Is this correct?
If so, am I also correct in thinking you need Server Edition to manage and monitor jobs through a central Veeam Server?

Re: Veeam Agent for Windows - Workstation Monitoring
Hello Matt,
Job stats are displayed in Veeam B&R for managed by agent jobs but with a small delay - results are uploaded either with periodic rescan or at the end of job run (in case Veeam repository is the target for managed by agent job type).

Okay, and if the target is a SMB share? In the console at present, we simply see Veeam Agent Policies. No jobs statistics, just rescan results....
As it's ROBO sites, it's not recommended to have it go to the backup repository is it... ?

Matt,
Try to run the rescan on the protection group which contains the mentioned machines. Rescan should gather all the job starts and make them visible in the Veeam console under policy view.

Re: Veeam Agent for Windows - Workstation Monitoring
I see, if it targeted to a Veeam B&R repository. Does the workstation transfer data straight to said repository, or does it communicate with the backup server first and then the repository?
Essentially, does it add an additional step into the process or would it be the same transfer process as going directly to an SMB share?
