Veeam windows 10 backup to onedrive slow

Hi, I had deployed veeam agent for windows multiple time across different machine, backing up volume C and operating system to onedrive for business has been very slow.

For instance, I freshly setup a new laptop with 120gb ssd, windows 10 1809, installed office and chrome.
Install veeam agent for windows 3.0, backup volume, selected operating disk and c drive.

I takes about 15 mins before starting to transfer, and bandwidth is average on 15mbps (I have 500mbps, wifi can get 300mbps to onedrive.com). C drive read speed is 2 mBps then down to 900 kBps.

Is there something wrong I setup?

I did the same with vaw 2.2 and windows 10 1803, also different onedrive account. All has been very slow.

What speed do you get for file upload with OneDrive's native client?

Hi Gostev,

I have a 500mbps internet connectivity. Onedrive.com average speed is at 300mbps (bottleneck at AC wireless speed), meaning to say my native onedrive client runs at full speed, same goes to website upload/download.

I also have a similar setup with devaIian. I have a 200 Mbps Bandwidth for Upload and I am only getting so much.
Any idea why so ? Read speed of my drive's are not maxed out as well. My Laptop is running a SATA SSD.

Slow performance while backing up to OneDrive can be caused by internal OneDrive throttling logic. That said, I'd recommend you to raise a support case and let our team check your logs. Once done please share the case ID in this thread. Thank you!

Same situation here. Uploading backup to OneDrive Business on 2MB/s. But out real speed is more than 800 MBits/s.

Have you already spoken to our support team directly? If so, what's your case ID? Just FYI: the issue Wjching mentioned above was related to OneDrive API, not VAW.
