On an Ubuntu Studio 6.10 VM I downloaded the Veeam Agent for Linux.
According to the manual I executed the commands:
Code: Select all
sudo dpkg -i ./veeam-release* && apt-get update
sudo apt-get install veeam
but I get an error saying (I translate from Italian) "Impossible to find the veeam package".
Given I am not an Ubuntu guru (
), how can I troubleshoot this issue?
Regards
marius

Did the dpkg -i command ran fine? Do you have the output?

The command run fine.
The result (translating from italian) says:
(Reading DB... 283843 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to extract .../veeam.release...
Extracting veeam-release-deb (1.0) of (1.0)
Configuring veeam-release-deb (1.0)...
Nothing else.

Try the apt-get update again and then run the command Pavel asked (sudo apt-cache search veeam).
If it gives a result you should be able to run sudo apt-get install veeam
