According to the helpfiles at
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/agent ... tml?ver=10 I should open a few ports for communication between my Veeam Agent for Linux and Veeam Backup Server.
The agent needs access to the server and the repository. That seems logical.
But the helppage also states that two ports on the agent should be opened as well for communication from the Veeam Backup Server:
Code: Select all
Veeam Backup Server --> Veeam Agent for Linux Computer
TCP 9395 Default port used for communication with Veeam Agent for Linux computer.
TCP 6183 Default port used by the Veeam Agent for Linux Service.
Why is this necessary? If I disable these ports, the backup still works fine and is reported in Veeam Backup Server.

Looks like this is a mistake for now (6183 is the default Veeam Endpoint Backup port) and 9395 is the integration with Microsoft search server.
