Can anyone tell me how to enable compression for Agent for Linux backup jobs?

Hi,

It is set to Lz4 by default, however it is not present in UI. To check compression settings use the command:

Code: Select all

veeamconfig job info --name JobName

To set another value use:

Code: Select all

veeamconfig job edit --compressionLevel 4 for --name JobName

Compression levels:

0 - none, 1 - Rle, 2 - Lz4, 3 - ZlibLow, 4 - ZlibHigh

If integrating VAL with Veeam Backup & Replication 9.5 Update 3, the compression level can be set in the agent job created in the VBR console as well.
