Linux BMR Boot-Media - Max. PW length?

What is the actual maximum for the NTLM password used to connect to a VBR server from within booted linux recovery media?

While typing it seems to be 19. I have customers with more characters in the PW policy.

Does the system generate an error if you type more than 19 characters?

No, it just doesn't log me in with a pw longer than 19 (NTLM authentication error).
The field shown by the boot media looks as if after 19 it doesn't accept more chars.
