Renaming a Linux Agent backup job
I have a linux backup agent named BackupName1 running everyday on VBR 9.5. I would like to rename the backup job properly. Here is how I plan to do it and would like to verify with you that it's the right method:
1. stop the job
2. from the repository server, rename the corresponding backup folder from "servername.domain BackupName1" to "servername.domain NewName"
3. from the backed-up Linux server, run the following commands:
# veeamconfig job edit --name NewName for --name BackupName1
# veeamconfig repository rescan --name [servername]Backup Repository
(or from the Veeam Backup & Replication server's GUI > Backup Infrastructure > Backup Repositories > Rescan the repository containing this backup, would it produce the same result as the above command?)
4. from the Veeam Backup & Replication server's GUI, go to Backup & Replication > Backups > Disk > Agents and Remove old job-name from configuration
5. from the same Backups > Disk menu, click to the Import Backup button and select the same backup to import from its now renamed containing folder (by the way should I select .vbm or .vbk file?)
Would there be a better way? Or did I forget any additional required steps? Please advise.

Thanks for your help.
In a situation where I'd like to also rename this backup's target folder, how should I do it?

Hi,
folders keep the name. Just don't look at them
Best regards,
