I have setup a trial Veeam instance, currently I have one MacOS laptop setup as a client device using an agent backup policy. I've tried to find info on the scheduling and how it works but I haven't had much luck.
I can run a backup manually from the client software however the 9.00am daily schedule isn't working, now theres very few options so I don't think its anything I have done wrong.
Also I am assuming that if NO schedule is set then devices won't backup automatically??

just to clarify... you configured the MAC job and enabled the schedule as shown in the user guide?
I don't know how long your waited for the policy to apply, because that can take up to 6h(?), if I remember correctly. What I always do to "make it work right now" is to run a manual sync (veeamconfig sync now). Then I do a "veeamconfig job list" to check, whether the job was correctly synced.
If all that does not help, please open a support case and post the case number for reference. Evaluation support is available for such situations.

Thanks Hannes, do you know if there is any plan to add more options to the scheduling, setting a specific time of day doesn't suit every user, being able to set active hours or even the option to backup every x hours would be useful.

agree, that would be useful, but I cannot provide a timeline when that could be implemented.
