Truenas - permission for install client ?

Post by dudaimoveis »

Hello, I have Truenas as NAS storage, but when I try to install the VEEM client on it, a message appears saying that I do not have permission to install anything on Truenas. Is it possible to install the VEEM client on a Truenas?

Hi Alexandre, welcome to the forums.

Just to confirm, you want to use your TrueNAS as a backup repository for storing your backups?

Or your goal is to backup the TrueNAS device itself with Veeam?

To use it as a repository, you would not need to install the client, but instead add it via SMB/NFS, or connect a server via iscsi to a volume from the TrueNAS. You can see the entries in our Veeam Ready database which describe the tested and verified deployments.

But please confirm I've understood the request correctly.
