Hello,
working with a veeam partner trying to get our backup into the cloud, but are running into walls fast and furious...
Environment:
proxmox hypervisor. (open-source proxmox dot com)
uname: 4.15.17-1-pve
Kernel Version Linux 4.15.17-1-pve #1 SMP PVE 4.15.17-9 (W
installed veeam/veeamsnap (apparently...)
root@pve2:/home# dkms status
veeamsnap, 2.0.1.665, 4.9.0-8-amd64, x86_64: installed
configured and all ok with connections to the cloud....
when attempting to run job fails at the :
Failed to load module [veeamsnap] with parameters [zerosnapd
have 3 proxmox boxes and same issue on all 3
installed an openSUSE VM, and we installed on that, and were able to successfully execute a job. because of the way the storage is connected t the host hyperviosr, I can't use the opensuse vm to do the backups... i wish i could.
does veeam support the proxmox environment ?
not sure why it says veeamsnap, 2.0.1.665, 4.9.0-8-amd64, x86_64: installed, but saying its missing.
Is there another step that is required ?, we didn't need to compile anything
any insight appreciated.

Re: veeamsnap says installed but still fails
Hi,
don't think so. I'm trying to install on the physical hypervisor server, which is utilizing Debian as its O/s
Proxmox VE is a complete open-source platform for all-inclusive enterprise virtualization that tightly integrates KVM hypervisor and LXC containers, software-defined storage and networking functionality on a single platform, and easily manages high availability clusters and disaster recovery tools with the built-in web management interface.
