How do you Upgrade VB for AWS from v3 to v4

Searching the internet tells me to just go to the updater and click update. But it says there's no updates available.I'm on v3.1.0.98 and need to go up to v4.1x.

If you are running VB for AWS as a standalone product, it should be available under the settings menu as explained in our user guide.

If you are using VB for AWS integrated via VBR, you can update them directly via the VBR console.

If you do not get any updates, there may be something wrong in the background and I would suggest you to open a support case. Can you let us know the case ID in this case?

I wild guess - did you try to update the FLR service (as both services, the main one and FLR have to be upgraded at the same time)?

Nah just followed the normal way. Support ended up helping with updating it via ssh cli manually, so fixed now.

Be great if they could have some doco somewhere for that, instead of going through supposed.

The go here click this options above which don't help cause they both say no updates available. Although in VBR it did say updates available you click to upgrade VBAWS then it errors with an error saying no updates available :/

Do you have a support case number by any chance? Want to take a look and pass this to the RnD team, so that next time it works out-of-the box.

Hi @crasent, it just sounds like a specific error to the setup and to assure this doesn't happen again in the future, we'll need a support case with logs to improve it.
