Hi,
I have restored an onPrem VM to AWS EC2 to use as a test server. It's been restored to a public subnet (along with other existing EC2 instances). The restored VM has a public IP, the same security groups as the existing VMs, is attached to the same network interface, has the same IAM Administrator role.
When the instance is running I cant RDP to the instance. Also to add, I can browse externally to the webserver that is running - so all looks fine from an operational point of view. However, If I cant RDP then Im unable to alter any config settings.
Had anyone experienced anything similar and found a solution...
Many thanks

Re: Restored On-Prem VM to EC2 with Veeam - cant RDP/Connect
Hi Tim,
Are u 100% sure the RDP port (3389) is open and that you are allowed to connect to it from the IP you are connecting? It could be the RDP service didn't start or something underneath has been adjusted.
Did you already follow the tips provided by AWS troubleshooting guide?
