Hi
I want to extend the retentiontime of our objectlock repositories, which are used for the backupcopy jobs. I read the documentation and saw that modifying the retention is not possible for objectlock (immutable) repositories. I understand, that shorten the retentionperiod is not possible/allowed, That makes sense. But why is it not possible to extend the retentionperiod?
Am I right to say, that I have to create new repositories with a longer retentionperiod and create new backupcopy jobs to these new repositories as the only way?
thx,
sandsturm

Re: extend Retentiontime for ObjectLock repository
Hello sandsturm
Yes, today a new repository is the only way to use a new retention/immutability period.

Because this logic is not build in to the product. We can consider it to add it in a future version.I understand, that shorten the retentionperiod is not possible/allowed, That makes sense. But why is it not possible to extend the retentionperiod?
