Inquiries Veeam 365 Licensing

Good day to all,

I have 40 licenses in my Veeam 365 in use. Now new mailboxes have been added and I have a list utilization 42/40 licenses. Now I have disabled the backup of the two Microsoft teams channels. Are license utilization sink but not to 40/40.

I now have two questions about this:

1. What are the consequences if I use more licenses than I have in my subscription (42/40).

2. Why do the used licenses not sink to 40/40 after I have deactivated the backup of my two teams channels?

You are allowed to exceed your license by 10 licenses or 10% (which ever is higher).

Licenses are assigned to user accounts, not teams or SharePoint sites. You may check the current license assignment with PowerShell:

A license is automatically revoked 31 days after a user was last protected.
