Hi,
I’ve been looking through the documentation (data sheet, user guide, etc.), but there’s one question I haven’t found a definitive answer for:
When using S3 Compatible storage with encryption – at which point is the backup data being encrypted?
Is it encrypted before being sent to the S3 storage, or does the encryption happen only after the data has been received by the S3 storage server?
Or, put differently: Does the S3 storage provider have access to the encryption key, meaning that the provider has to be trusted?
Thanks!

Re: S3 storage and encryption
Hi jd82,
The encryption is done BEFORE it is send, so the storage provider does not have access to the key
