Sharepoint (Online) Restore of empty folders

hi,
i just noticed that empty folders from within ah sharepoint (online) site/document library are not getting restores with the restore wizard!

i do see these folders in the wizard, but they are not getting restored...

so imagine ah site or ah folders with eh pre-created strutcture gets deleted, and when i i'd like to restore the whole folder structure with also the empty ones, veeam does not do this and i think this is bad and i would consider this as ah bug!

i've tested along... and it looks like the empty folders does created when restoring to original location, but NOT when exporting to ZIP...

As far as I remember, for export, it's by design.
Could you share a business case when empty folders are useful in a ZIP?

hi, sure...
in general whats the case for exporting in ZIPs? then i might have to questions this feature at all allready....

best example would be exit-strategy... simply exporting ah whole sharepoint (site) and propably re-import it on ah traditional fileshare! (honestly i might have to try the direct "export" without zip)

in every case its usefull, as of the same reason as it's for restore to original location, to also have empty folders back!

Btw direct export into ah folder/filesystem created also empty folders, even more i don't understand why it's not done for zip export...

Please request to RnD to include empty folders too in ZIP files. Customers dont undertand why a export "as-is" of the full path are incomplete dude missing "empty" folder that Veeam didnt consider ussefull.

This still happens today and is not resolved, inconsistency create bad sense at end customers.

As Polina said, we are looking into this, but we haven't release a new version between the message from Polina and today. I would need to verify where we are with that task but it is on the roadmap if I am not mistaken.
