Case ID 03828856
We have a tenant who stores a lot of .swf files in their OneDrive.
These files cause a warning every time the backup is run with a 403 forbidden message - it is a different file name given in the warning each time.
Processing OneDrive ***** (https://*****-my.sharepoint.com/personal/******) finished with warning: Failed to backup item version: /_vti_history/512/Documents/*****/General/REGS/GE700 CITB October 2013/content/A/SWF-CSK-GE700-2012-A07-7.swf, version: 1.0, The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.
If i log into their OneDrive i can see and download the files without issue - there is no red warning against the files so MS has not flagged them as malware.
I've been through with support creating a new repository and new job for the 2 affected users, running full rather than incremental backup etc. but it makes no difference. I have even been into OneDrive and removed all previous versions of the affected files but still get the same error.
I would prefer not to exclude these files from the backup as they are dotted around in multiple folders within multiple user's OneDrive's so the -ExcludedOneDriveFolders parameter would be a pain to make work.
Has anyone else had this issue and managed to resolve?

Re: swf files in OneDrive - 403 forbidden
Hey Dan, I haven't seen this before. It could be related to OneDrive (SharePoint) underneath preventing the playing of SWF files and as a result, you are getting the 403 message. Best would be to work with support to find a solution.
