VBO Working Directory - Space required

Post by bryanLC »

Hi all,

I have two quick questions regarding VBO.

I have a customer that use VBO on a Windows Server with low free space on the C:\. VBO is installed in the default directory (C:\Program Files\Veeam\Backup365) and the backup repositories are on the D:\.

My question is:
  • Does VBO store temporary data/cache on the C:\ ? If yes, what kind of data and how many MB/GB should be available for this ?
I saw in the log "Temporary file: C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup365\ConfigDb\temp.edb" and log files in "C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup365\Logs" so I guess that VBO use some space on the C:\ drive. Can we change it to point on D:\ instead ? Does VBO have an "auto-cleaning process" for the log files ?

Thank you in advance for your help and have a nice day.

Kind regards,

Bryan

Hi Bryan,

Those database belongs to the config database so yes, it uses some space. However, it is not used for storing temporarily items / downloaded data or something like that. So as long as your config doesn't change a lot, it should not be a big issue. I can't give any exact numbers to be honest, but mostly that database isn't that large (unless you are serving lots of users and sites and so on...)
