What exactly is my sharepoint backup doing right now?

I have a sharepoint backup that is now already running for 24 hours. Examining the log it has processed 24GB and all sites (2273) have finished (except one). That site is processing already for 23 hours. Examining the log and tailing it I don't see any backupdata being processed anymore but I see continuing messages like in the snip below. What exactly is going on there and does this have to take so long? Do the numbers shown indicate a huge number of files being processed for that one site?
any ideas on this much appreciated

Best here is to open a support case for this as we will require log insight for this and this is a technical forum (not a support one). They will be able to clarify what is still happening as we can only make wild guesses. As per our forums rules, please post the support case ID once created.
