Hello,
A similar question was asked a while back (veeam-backup-for-azure-f59/disk-snapsho ... 77576.html), but I've not been able to find a more recent answer... Here is the situation:
* I place my Azure VMs into Resource Groups and then lock those groups against deletion.
* I also use Veeam for Azure to take snapshots of them.
...but because the Resource Group is locked, Veeam is unable to delete the snapshots, so they just keep building up! This seems to leave me the tricky decision of either:
* Don't protect my VMs against accidental deletion (or)
* Don't back them up
Am I missing something?
Thanks!

Re: Deleting snapshots in a locked resouce group.
Hi Matt
Sounds right to me. Azure locked resource groups protects the resources against deletion.
As stated in the other post, we will think about it what we can do about it. But there is no ETA yet.
As a workaround, you could use Veeam Agent to protect such VM.
Thanks
Fabian
