"Backing Up" a Configuration Job?

Post by mrserino »

Hi folks,

I briefly read through the FAQ and could not find a clear answer to this question. My organization is currently running 8.5, and our backup server is experiencing lots of issues related to Windows Updates. At this point, we are considering nuking the system and recreating the server from scratch. My question to you all is: if we have 5 or so jobs that are configured and working properly, is there any way we can backup these configurations and then restore them during the re-installation of Veeam? In case that's unclear, I'm asking if there is any way I would NOT need to recreate my backup jobs if I installed Veeam on a new machine.

I apologize if this is a simple question. I'm new to Veeam and still learning the ropes!

Many thanks.

Hi Michael and welcome to the community!

Yes, you can use Configuration backup for those purposes.
After re-installation, you will be able to restore all settings including the backup jobs. Thanks!
