How does v5 handle thin provisioned VMs. I just installed Veeam at a new client’s site and they have a server that is 1TB thin provisioned and is using about 450GB of the allocation. It looks like Veeam is backing up the entire 1TB. Is this right?

Hello Aaron,
B&R fully supports thin disks since version 4. B&R reports the entire size of the disk (1TB in your case), but only 450GB of allocated blocks will be actually processed by the job. And when you restore this VM, the disks will also be restored as thin. Hope this helps!
