Session failed: Exception of type 'Veeam.Backup.AgentProvider.AgentClosedException' was thrown usually has something to do with the network connection between the client, VBR server, proxy, and target. I get a few of these every now and then and it's almost always a network hiccup. Spoke with the network folks and they explained at certain times of the day the Nexus 5k is pegged. They plan to move everything over to Nexus 9k.
