Backup Copy job settings to keep half-yearly restore points?

Is it possible at all to set up a backup copy job such that it retains the backups from 1 year ago and 6 months ago?

This doesn't seem to be available with the yearly/quarterly/monthly/weekly options.

Is it possible to achieve this by creating a second job maybe?

Hello, no, there's no option to keep half-yearly restore points, so you need to keep the suitable number of quarterly ones instead.
