Hi guys,
I want to configure an second backup location which is behind WAN. The Backup location internal and external are both StoreOnce from HPE. I could replicate between those machines but i only want a smaller amount of backup on the external StoreOnce. So i need to configure a second backup. But now comes the catch, how do I get the external Storeonce as a Repository?
Best would be I could use the external StoreOnce direktly over an external IP address. Wich Ports use Veeam to comunicate with the StoreOnce so I can open those Ports in the firewall.
Or is there a simpler way?
Thx a lot
Bratacc

Re: Backup Copy to an external StoreOnce
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
The required ports are in ports list in the user guide
If you like to use catalyst copy, you could also use different catalyst stores and replicate the whole store instead of doing multiple backups. Veeam Backup Copy jobs can also be an option depending on your backup job design.
Best regards,
Hannes

VPN instead of internet would be a recommended way from a security perspective.Best would be I could use the external StoreOnce directly over an external IP address.

Re: Backup Copy to an external StoreOnce
