Hello,
for extra security reasons we are trying to copy our weekly fullbackup of multiple machines to a temporaraly available repository.
Temporaraly available meaning we want to connect the drive on friday, let it copy the backup during the weekends and then physically disconnect it on monday mornings.
It works ok'ish as veeam is screaming bloody murder when we disconnect the repository on monday
Unable to create target storage, processing will be retried (retry 1 out of 6)
Failed to preprocess target Error: Failed to call RPC function 'FcCreateDir': Der Netzwerkpfad wurde nicht gefunden. Cannot create folder. Folder path: [\\xxx\xxx\Backup Copy XXXSRV02 und XXXSRV04].
Saying the networkdrive wasnt available. While thats true - why does it bother him when its out of his operationhours? We set up the job to only run during the weekend time?
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem or any ideas how to get this done another way?
Thanks for helping
Cheers

Re: Backup Copy to temporary available Target
Hi W0rmy96
Welcome to the forum. I suggest to wait with disconnecting the repository till the copy job has completely finished it's processing.
It seems it didn't copied all backups yet. Most likely the job was in a idle state because your copy window didn't allowed further processing till the next weekend.
Please open a case with our customer support team for further investigation if that wasn't the case. Don't forget to share the case number with us.
Best,
Fabian
