Backup fails after new backup repository
Hello all,
I'm running a trial of backup & replication, and what I did was setup a new backup repository from a new nas,I copied the data from the old backup repository, the error says "could not find part of the path (it's looking for the old backup path from the previous nas) and it's vbrcatalog\publications\upload, it also has a warning earlier in the backup process "no objects to process"
any ideas what would cause this, should I recreate the backup job
thanks in advanced

Re: Backup fails after new backup repository
Did you remap the job to the new backup files location (using Map backup functionality)?

thanks for the reply,
yes I happened to find the answer on this thread, I forgot to remap the job, I'll find out after the job runs tonight.
thanks

Re: Backup fails after new backup repository
Hello,
I went and retried to job again after following the instructions on that thread, it seems to pass the job but with the same errors, I also tried to start new by deleting the job and starting a new one, but with same results. Is there any way I can just start with a brand new full job and overwrite the old one.
thanks in advanced.

Re: Backup fails after new backup repository
New job with different name should work fine (active full for existing job should do as well). I'd contact support for assistance, it's hard to guess what's happening via forums, without the ability to look at your setup closer.

Re: Backup fails after new backup repository
You can issue "Active Full" task for the existent setup and see if it goes through. There's no "overwrite" when it comes to the brand new job, since it will create a brand new chain of backup files once started, but you can remove the old job files manually, once confirmed you're having a fully functional new one.
