Re: Backup Job Folders

Post by mibrown9954 »

Filter view is a good start. I think for larger install bases, the filter views could be a bit cumbersome. If it is going to be filter based then I would add target as an option for the filters. I have multiple repos that would like to group the different jobs based on repos. Also, it doesn't looking like I can create a custom view that hides only my disabled jobs. It looks like I should be able to and I can create a custom view that only shows disabled jobs. I want to do the reverse. I believe there is something not working correctly with that filter.

[MERGED] Backup Jobs sort out

Post by rhs-backup »

Hi Everyone,
We have a lot of Backup Jobs (50+) configured. We distinguish in different locations and type of Backups.
It's very confusing. I would like to sort them in Folders to get a better overview. Is there anything planned in a future update or does someone know where to adress this?

There are job filters available in v10. Provided you name the jobs properly, this can facilitate job management for you in some sense. Thanks!

Does a customer in Cyprus know about filters?

Of course .. I told him after seeing this thread.
They say that they have different departments that uses the console and he doesn’t find it useful 🤔

What does that suppose to mean? Whether or not different departments use the console is completely perpendicular to folders and filters. Both allow to group jobs into a single visual entity (manually and automatically, respectively).

@Gostev Totally agree with you.
I’m still trying to work with them to figure it out and ask for a remote session to understand the picture better.
Thanks for replying
